I've never used ChatGPT. Is it a free AI site anyone can utilize pretty much? There definitely seems to be lots of possibilities with it in the realm of modding a game.

I wonder since you've now shown the AI the event structure has it been trained? aka now if anyone asked the AI for NR2003 events it knows what they are talking about?

Yes ChatGPT is a free site and you can ask it utilize text or code and it will try to generate a response, since this post people have started to use it to edit pit stalls (i.e. add the rest of the stalls like makestalls.exe) and the grid line up, and edit a tracks grip settings. It’s good at INI files as it describes above. You can even add your own rules column e.g. I did location and length, for custom track ideas.

You can add any extra columns like I did, it thinks it’s part of it.

The only way to find this out is to test it, or word the question more accurately/differently. I think to be sure, give it some example like the one I did, and then it would attempt to reproduce. I does not mean It can’t learn though, it’s what it’s meant to do, and previous conversations are kept unless you delete them.

I do not know if it knows the exact directory of exact tracks yet though, or the ones in the default game Note: I did not expect it to know, so I told it to also include your own fictional track directories, I did that so I could potentially get extra track ideas, if I need them.

It’s not all bad; on the real events listed, all I would now do is a name directory tweak and amount of laps for 3 hours 20 minutes or default laps of the circuit.

It’s good but not perfect, I asked it to include no more than 500 laps in case an oval came up. Hundreds of laps would be too many for a circuit, and it did not remember the fictional event when I re-asked it.

Interesting though it did claim it “Yes, Event5 is the totally fictional event with a custom circuit. It’s trackDirectory is set to "my_custom_track" which does not exist in the game's directory”. So does it know the games default tracks at least?

Also Note: this also would work for GPL as the games ini files are similar, I wonder if it can attempt to rewrite papy_ini physics?

There is a limit on the makefile that it uses to only do five events, also makefile only appears when you ask it to “present it like this” you can get around this by asking it to continue, and you get more.
