Hello,

A couple weeks ago I had to build a new PC due to a random motherboard failure, I got around to installing NR2003 and it runs great for the most part, except for the 2022 mod. It runs great, and I have the 4GB and DirectX update but for some reason it randomly crashes, usually after about 20 or 30 minutes of watching a simmed race, but I've had it happen as soon as five. It happens on Coca-Cola when the whole field is on screen, and it can happen at Mosport with only one or two cars on screen. I've tried the game with the Gen 6 and CoT mods and they both work perfectly fine, so I assume it isn't that I copy/pasted the files from my previous installation. I've also had it happen on both Windows 10 and 11. The only thing I've noticed it a sudden GPU spike when the game crashes.

I'm running an i9 149000k, a 3060TI from my old PC, and 32GB of DDR5

Any help is appreciated (Also I would like pointing towards any newer patches or updates that I'm missing.)

2022 mod is pretty heavy, on your new pc are you running the game on higher resolution? When the mod is closer to the camera it forces higher LOD level which can crash the game, especially if its tied to a heavy track with lots of detail.

No just 1080p. I didn't even figure out I could run in 4K until I went to re-do my install to check if that was the issue.

Also, just went to watch a race at Old Spice, and just scrolling through the field on TV1 camera is enough to crash before it even starts, so the LOD reason makes sense

yeah replay cameras that zoom in on heavy mods can crash it. The 4 ways to make it crash less are:
1) edit replay cameras so FOV zoom is not as high
2) lower car mod detail from high to medium
3) Edit the track introducing LODs to 3dos that don't have them
4) Mod rebuild with more optimization to be lower vert count

Obviously the last 2 options are not possible for most users but they are the ultimate way for best performance.
