Downloads section category improvements

Hey all,

In the past year/months the downloads section has started to have a much larger buy-in by the community (aka more and more content being uploaded). As a result some of the categories I originally made are starting to outgrow their sections. For example the Mods, Cars, and Carset sections only had a few mod names listed to choose from. As a result the misc section has started getting a lot of carset and car files added.

Over the new few weeks I'll try to start making a more generic mod, carst, and car category for any file that doesn't have a dedicated mod name yet. If someone had a mod/list of mods they'd like to se as categories please list them here and I can make categorizes for these.

Lastly, don't be alarmed if your file isn't in the same category it originally was, I will try to neatly move them where they belong once extra categories are made. BUT if you can double check your files and move them for me that would help a lot too.

MENCS19 section is for sure needed in both Cars and Carsets.

I would also recommend something similar to what Stunod had for the Logos section where there were sub-groups of letters like A-E, F-J, etc.

Something that's more of a wishlist type thing would be an inclusion for cosmetic-only stuff section for tracks (including any INI edits, the section would be for stuff that aren't full on tracks).

*EDIT* Oh, I just noticed/remembered one big thing that could help with stuff: A Bases resource section under Painting Resources! That way people can share bases they've created as well.

Download section improvements as of 7/24/2026:

- Mods section cleaned up, categories only exist for mos that have a download. As this requires an original mod creator to usually upload here its now set to moderator approval. If you have a car file, carset, or other addon for a mod those should go in their respective areas

- Car files and Carsets now have mirrored categorizes, currently these 14, I'll probabaly add more later like defauly cup/gns and default cts:

- I haven't gone through all the car files and carsets that are still loose and not under the correct category (the files that sit in the main car file or carset category and not the mods they are for) This will take awhile

- Miscellaneous Addons is still messy, several files that belong in other places...

- Added Render Scenes section under Paint Resources Category

- Added AI Enhanced Presets under Misc section

Another suggestion that came up in the Project SteelFire discord: A section under Misc. for custom number/series packs and ticker sponsor packs for PSF. That way people who might not be in that Discord server can still enjoy stuff beyond what's already included in the program.

The more the better, I know there are several car file / carset mod categories still missing I need to add.

A Project SteelFire Overlays section sound good. Especially when custom tickets/Pylon features come way in the future.

I know there can be number sets made for it, but the track maps can be made manually too? I thought the program generates those.

it does. but i found one track it will not work with, it will not make the track map

that might be a bug you need to reach out to the creator for if the track images are not meant to be created manually

Steelfire Overlays UI now a category with Number Sets under it. The UI mod doesn't have ability to create Custom Tickers/Pylons yet but mod creator says in the distant future it will probably be a thing, I'll add categories for those when it arrives..

Misc Assets also a category under it so if a user has made custom sponsors for say the Fox ticker they can include the bundle there.

Continued updates:, the main car files and carset categories cannot have new downloads in them any more, instead user needs to choose the proper sub-category (ex. car files > NCS22). I also added an 'other' category for anything that doesn't fit.

If you have content in the main category and cant move them don't delete them, just link them here and I can move them for you (tell me which sub-category they should belong in)
